Annual Marketing Planner
A structure for planning a year of marketing around a small number of real priorities, not a packed calendar of disconnected activity. Fill in each quarter for your own business.
Before You Plan the Quarters
Write down the 1-2 business goals marketing needs to support this year (e.g., "launch in a new region," "improve retention," "generate a specific volume of qualified pipeline"). Every quarter below should tie back to these.
Each Quarter, Define:
- Theme or focus: The one or two things this quarter is actually about
- Major campaigns or launches: What's shipping, and when
- Content cadence: What gets published, how often, and by whom
- Channel priorities: Where effort concentrates this quarter
- Budget allocation: Roughly how spend splits across channels
- Metrics to review: What you'll actually look at to know if the quarter worked
At the End of Each Quarter
Before planning the next one, review what actually happened against what you planned. What worked, what didn't, and what should change — this is the step that turns a calendar into a plan that improves over time.
